# ~: Mentally Challenged :~ #

If there is one place on earth for the "cruel" creations of God to be existed, school is on top of the list. School kids are notorious for inflicting pain to their peers. They are lack of knowledge about benevolence and at times callous. Having to say that, Josef often times came home from school with stories to tell. One in particular about the kids who were left behind or "repeat". He's not underestimating them but he heard and seen a lot of incidence. School kids are almost 99% mere observant. If you don't have two parents at home they've sensed that, and if you are "slow" they know that too. Best of all, they're very much aware if you are in a "special Ed" classroom or in most cases if you are on a certain types of medication. None of my kids get in any sort of trouble and as what Josef's 1st grade homeroom teacher told us long time ago........he's a well-behaved kid. Often times, her class were all over the place and some were trying to crawl up the ceiling (that's how she put it) but Josef stayed sitting calmly on his chair. I brought this topic up b/c "attention deficiency" could lead up to "delinquency". Daddy's adopted son has been arrested (picked-up & booked) 27 times and he's only 19yo. It's both a "mess and a headache". I wish they've noticed the signs earlier on the process.

The clipping below was featured @ VTN's January 27th issue.

Who would ever thought that the four of us will one day found ourselves sitting in a classroom? You heard it right, the four of us! A company sent my dear dearest to a school. He's attending classes 6hrs every day five times a week. How did we pull it off? Honestly, I don't have the answer. We just do it hahaha. This month would be a "congested" one. Not because of the frigid weather but because our schedules are real heavy. Josef's trip to Washington DC and NYC is right up in the alley. My husband missed the meeting last Monday due to some miscommunication. We got a note thru the mail about the date but the time was missin'. Daddy dearest called and emailed but nobody gets back to us for clarification. Oh well, at the meeting they have assigned the hotel room and who's gonna be with who. After some few attempts and back & forth trips to school, Dale finally got everything straightened out. We have the trip schedule, stops to make, and places to visit on our hands except the "plane ticket". Josef needs a lot more stuff for these two State's weather and as of now, we don't have the set date yet when to gather them all. Jann's 8th b-day is approaching as well and so another arrangement needs to be done. Needless to say, the three paperworks I need to get ready by the due date for my courses. Thanks for reading and have one fabulous Friday everyone.

Here below is Josef's progress report from SS. The day he made 97% on a test, he's sick. It happened @ school but he refused anyone to know. I'm thinking of giving him "the 3rd degree" for that but decided to keep my cool instead. He was told to call home next time.

It sounds like you have one tight schedule at your end. I was glad to hear about Josef's trip. That is so exciting. It would be nice to see those national landmarks and wonderful views. I see your point about kids with learning problem. You are so blessed your kids turned out the way they did. When kids struggle at school that is one problem every parent is dreaded to deal with. But you know all mothers has their role to play, and I was convinced that you played your role very well. I'll come back for Janna's bday. I got 2 more weeks to greet ....

That is very impressive Jeth! Your son is a genius indeed for making *eye popping grades* considering he doesn't feel well that day.

I'm so excited for him about the trip. I'm sure he will be talking about it and all the great times he'll have when he become an adult. You are so blessed for having brilliant children Jeth. Congrats to both of them. I can see how excited Janna is for her upcoming *special day*.

Jeth, you and your hubby are an amazing parents. Students success could be traced back to the kind of parents they have at home. Parents who nurture their children the right way & with much love usually becomes the parents of very successful children. I agree that signs could be detected early on from children with learning disability. Kids who cut up and disrupt the class most of the time ends up to become a problem as they grow. I can only imagine what your daddy is going through. Have a great one and enjoy your Tuesday.

Jeth, you and Dale are *just* a "couple" without your children. But Josef and Janna makes you all as a family. A wonderful family that is! It is a blessing to have children and to me having children who has a lot of potentials and do so well at school is a BIG THING. Be proud cuz you got the whole package. Kids are the best gift from GOD and their extra intelligence is so PRICELESS. Just letting you I am so proud of them. CONGRATS to their amazing performance.

Jeth, the way I see it..idiots beget idiots. If the parent isn't an idiot, then they need to provide guidance to kids. Otherwise, we will slowly fill the USA full of idiots. And it will take people from other countries who have a more disciplined school system to run the country. Sad to say, there are a lot of kids who have lost their way. All they want to do is play video games, have sex, watch tv, etc etc. Parents need to be on the ball because if they are not, kids will stray. Thats why we put my girls in an all-girls catholic school. There is no drama there and if there is, it is nipped in the bud. At least in my life, I can say I accomplished an important goal of raising ethical, kind, smart kids. How is your semester going? I hope you are survivivng. Me, I am doing great and enjoying every minute of it right now. I am working in the public health department doing home visits for mother/baby and elderly. Most are cases reported to CPS or APS. child protective agency or adult protective agency. Lots of stupid mothers who are on drugs, like to fool around, and give birth to babies who pretty much have had a life of misery given to them based on who their parents are. Doing this will give my PHN, public health nursing certificate. I also work in the intensive care unit. Love it. Anyway, hopefully I do well on my tests coming up. I'm sure you will do well as always! Well just dropping by. I work 3-11:30pm so I just got home bout an hour ago. I love this shift! Have a good rest of the month...!

Hey Jeth, if there is one great thing to share through your blog, that is the accomplishments your kids received from school [I would say]. Nothing beats that. I mean you can talk about how the sun shines this morning or maybe hows the weather looks like in the past three days, but who would take interest on those kinds of topic [definitely not me]? Topics like what and how your kids are doing at school [especially if they are that smart] gets your readers attention and then others who might happen to come across your place. This is totally worth sharing and I thank you for it. Your kids are awesome. They absolutely make a fan out of me
