Traveling has never been cheap but you still get it cheaper if your destination is within the "continental" US than flying overseas. Our most expensive summer escapade is the trip we made to the Philippines and let me tell you that vacation was seriously and unbelievably costly. Kids airfare is as much as the grown ups. So, any trip within the 50 States is still affordable whether by land or thru flying. Our summer retreat at SC and Mrytle beach would probably be the most exciting of all the getaways we have had so far. Two trips to the Florida coast and another to Mississippi shoreline aren't a match to the fun we've experienced at SC's Mrytle Beach. Our hotel room facing the Atlantic Ocean falls into the category of "a room with a view" hahaha. Serene and pristine water of the Carolina's oceanside makes the big difference plus the boardwalk to the water. Good Grief of the eateries! If there is one place on earth for all the restaurants of the world.......you betcha, Mrytle Beach is the right place. Some of the cuisines I've tried were from "Habibis Cafe",  a Lebanese taste, "Black Thai", which is a Thai cuisine, and Bombay At The Beach", the taste I've been craving for for centuries hahaha. Whoa, Indian cooking is really tasteful! I have tons of photographs to share. I am accustomed to taking fotos b/c this habituate tells me where I've been. At the moment, I'm done uploading one album. I am glad too that summer is finally gone. Kids in some states are already back to school and back making good grades. First off, let me compliment you for choosing these 2 eye-popping pairs of Nike. They must belong to your genius son [he deserved everything he got]. Regarding the place of choice for your summer retreat, you really knows where to spend it. Myrtle Beach is a destination for those who believed in a fancy getaway and has a reputation to host celebrities and political figures. I love to hear that you have a great time. I bet your hotel room has really a good view overlooking the Atlantic. Sounds like a perfect vacation.

I am fond of different taste as well. Those cuisines sounds yummy. I'm considering to try those cooking one day soon. By the way, I'm glad your whole family had so much fun.

You really are a woman of self discipline. I don't see how you can enjoy vacationing and have your laptop on top of your head . That is very true, for goodtimes sake computer time needs to push to the side . Anyhow, glad your family vacation turned out great. That's amazing you have it done twice this year.

I'm glad you all had fun. We went to South Caroline over five years ago and the beaches are so beautiful there. We stayed at edisto beach. I can't remember the location we saw wild horses on the beach! But that place really was a hidden treasure that most dont think to vacation to. anyway, I hope you have a good semester..!

Hi Jeth, I hope you are surviving & thriving in school! You can do it! Did I tell you I passed my NCLEX? Yep, I passed first time, 75 questions. of course you go out feeling like you didnt pass. But thanks to God, I made it and now an official nurse. hee hee. I have yet to find a real job though. I am still playing "stay-at-home-house-wife" but soon I will find motivation. I am just plain exhausted...my program was tough and mind-boggling and I feel like I need a break from study or work! Take care and best wishes....
